Izi & Al began with a simple frustration I kept having as a new mum: muslin blankets that would slip off the pram or move around while I was breastfeeding.

I wanted something that worked better, and that small idea became the beginning of Izi & Al.

As a mum to Izi and Alara, and an Australasian optometrist with more than 15 years’ experience working with children and families, I’ve always been conscious of the little things that can make everyday life with children easier, as well as the importance of protecting them from the sun.

That thinking now shapes everything we create. From our soft, breathable UPF 50+ bamboo onesies to our multi-use covers designed for everyday adventures, our products bring together comfort, practicality and considered sun protection.

Izi & Al is inspired by my daughters, the nature around us here in New Zealand, and the things I genuinely want to use with my own family.

Because childhood is made for getting out, exploring and enjoying the world around us, and I want to create products that help make doing that with little ones just a little bit easier.
